I had the pleasure of presenting alongside our CTO, Andrew Emmons at the largest React Native conference in Europe, React Native EU. We were there to discuss how we took React Native past its known capabilities and into a truly cross-platform playground. Given that we adopted React Native as an official layer in You.i Engine One just over a year ago, we were excited to share our progress with like-minded individuals.

Thanks to our friends at Callstack, you can now view our entire presentationTaking React Native to Consoles, TVs, and Beyond Using the Dark Power of C++.

Here is the official abstract from our talk at React Native EU, emanating from Wroclaw, Poland:

In the React Native codebase lurk nearly 56 000 lines of C++, a full third of its native code and growing. Rather than shy away from it, can we embrace this dark power to go beyond iOS and Android and get to Xbox, PlayStation, smart TVs, and even embedded devices like Roku? Using techniques from our friends in the game industry, let’s explore what it means to go fully cross-platform.

Here’s something similar we think you’ll enjoy.
